Triumph in the Young Ladies Wild Card Challenge

The 23-year-old Arabella Koller from Salzburg impressively confirmed her position as favorite last Sunday at the Linz-Froschberg tennis center. In the final of the “Young Ladies Wild Card Challenge” she won against 19-year-old Claudia Gasparovic from Lower Austria with a clear 6:0, 6:2. With this victory, Koller not only secured the tournament victory, but also a coveted wild card for qualification for the WTA 500 event Upper Austria Ladies Linz 2024.

The path to the final: Arabella Koller impressed with two confident victories

Already on Saturday, Arabella Koller qualified for the final with two convincing victories. First she defeated 16-year-old Ema Lina Picovusevic from TWR Team Donaufeld 6:4, 6:2. She then continued her winning streak against 17-year-old Ava Schüller from 1. Klosterneuburger TV and won again with a clear 6:2, 6:2. In the final of the “Young Ladies Wild Card Challenge” Arabella Koller prevailed against 19-year-old Claudia Gasparovic from Lower Austria. This victory not only secured Koller the tournament victory, but also a coveted wild card for participation in the qualification for the WTA 500 event Upper Austria Ladies Linz 2024.
